TORBAY OR THE ENGLISH RIVIERA?
The 'English Riviera' acquired its name in the 1800's because it was seen as the English version of the famous French Riviera, but is actually a group of towns and villages known collectively as Torbay. Whatever you decide to call it, you will always get a warm welcome from everyone in and around Torquay, Paignton and Brixham. It is a popular destination for holiday makers due to its numerous attractions, varied cultural scene, outstanding beaches and wide variety of interesting events and things to do all year round.
